Lineup Changes and Legacy

Throughout their career, Slayer experienced several lineup changes, particularly with drummers. Dave Lombardo, known for his double bass drumming technique, left the band multiple times, with Paul Bostaph stepping in during his absences. Jeff Hanneman's tragic passing in 2013 marked a significant blow to the band, as he was a primary songwriter and integral to their sound. Gary Holt of Exodus joined as Hanneman's replacement, bringing his own flair to the band's later years.
