Origins and Formation

Five Finger Death Punch was formed in 2005 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The band’s lineup has seen some changes over the years, but the core members have included guitarist Zoltan Bathory and drummer Jeremy Spencer. Vocalist Ivan Moody, known for his distinctive voice and charismatic stage presence, joined soon after and became a pivotal figure in the band's success. The band's name is a nod to classic martial arts cinema, specifically the "Five Finger Death Punch" move from the 1972 martial arts film "King Boxer."
