Origins and Formation

Five Finger Death Punch was founded in Las Vegas, Nevada, by guitarist Zoltan Bathory and drummer Jeremy Spencer. The band’s name, inspired by martial arts films and the concept of a powerful strike, reflects their approach to music: intense, forceful, and direct. With the addition of vocalist Ivan Moody, guitarist Jason Hook, and bassist Matt Snell, the lineup was set, and the band began to make waves in the metal scene.
